Delayed hit sounds

Audio
General

Author: Naxess

Purpose

Reasoning

By having delayed hit sounds, the feedback the player receives would be misleading them into thinking they clicked later than they actually did, which contradicts the purpose of having hit sounds in the first place.

Outcomes

Pure Delay

"path" has a pure delay ms period of complete silence at the start.

Cause: A hit sound file used on an active hit object has a definite delay (complete silence) of at least 5 ms.

Delay

"path" has a delay of ~delay ms, of which pure delay ms is complete silence. (Active at e.g. timestamp in difficulty.)

Cause: A hit sound file used on an active hit object has very low volume for ~5 ms or more.

Minor Delay

"path" has a delay of ~delay ms, of which pure delay ms is complete silence.

Cause: Same as the regular delay, except anything between 1 to 5 ms.

Unable to check

"path" couldn't be checked, so you'll need to do that manually.

Cause: There was an error parsing a hit sound file.
